About us

"Thus do the races of men die away. The admirable lore of the different peoples fades away. But with the wilting of each blossom of the spirit, whenever, in the storm of the times, the works of creative art are scattered, so forever will new life sprout forth from the womb of the Earth. Restlessly, procreative Nature opens her buds: unconcerned whether outrageous humanity (a forever discordant race) should trample the ripening fruit."

Alexander von Humboldt

Our curiosity and enthusiasm for the secrets and richness of nature led us both (Sophie Schuster and Thomas Wanner) to study biology and later to many years of professional and non-professional work in the conservation of species.

Thanks to our faunistic commitment, we have already been able to gain impressions of the special characteristics of each country we have visited on several continents. Recording the diversity of life and preserving it will continue to be one of our core objectives in the future. As nature photographers, we also want to focus on what surrounds us every day, sometimes unnoticed or unappreciated.

The increasing loss of habitat and the associated shrinking diversity of species characterise our work today. This is why we endeavour to photograph the animal kingdom with as little disturbance as possible and to photograph each species in its natural habitat. Our aim is to show the beauty of nature, not only in its vulnerability but also in its strength. Perhaps our work can make a small contribution to influencing a way of thinking and therefore a way of acting.
