„It seems to me that the natural world ist the greatest source of excitement; the greatest source of visual beauty; the greatest source of intellectual interest. It is the greatest source of so much in life that makes life worth living.“

Ansel Easton Adams, one of America’s most influential nature and landscape photographers, once remarked that there is “... nothing worse than a brilliant image of a poor concept”. As biologists and nature photographers, we pursue various ideas on our expeditions, which we develop conceptually and photographically over the years and compile into series of images. In doing so, we strive to tell a story or convey a message, which we translate into an image in a style that suits the subject. All these images are an expression of our passion for nature and for photography, and we hope that we succeed in taking you on this journey into the world of nature pictures and their stories.
