Feuerachat

The more abundant a food source is for the rufous-tailed hummingbird, the harder it fights for it. The species uses both acoustic warnings and visual signals such as the fanning of its red glowing tail feathers. They only conserve energy and refrain from attacking when faced with food competitors that are larger than themselves.
