Elysion

Elysion

Elysion, the Island of the Blessed, a place of eternal spring, a place of immortality and boundless bliss. According to Greek mythology, it is paradise, a place for fallen heroes, the seat of immortality. In the midst of the cold, otherworldly Barents Sea, there is likely still such an island today, one that undoubtedly deserves this name. Formed from 400-million-year-old slate and sandstone, the Island of Life rises from the icy sea, defying the waves and the fury of the wind, to become a haven of life every spring for tens of thousands of souls - those heroes of the North who endure in this cold world.
