Boreas
The boreal coniferous forests that cover large parts of Sápmi were named after Boreas, the god of the cold north wind. However, the iron rule of the north wind over the land beyond the Arctic Circle is restrained by the warm west wind, which makes the existence of boreal forests possible in places where otherwise a treeless tundra would stretch across the land.

Each picture is a special edition, limited to a quantity of 50 in the smallest, 40 in the medium and 25 in the largest format. Every single print is created after the order has been placed and is signed and numbered by the photographer and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
To ensure high quality, each image is printed on premium ultra-pure and extremely age-resistant fine art paper from the traditional Hahnemühle company, which is characterised by its high grammage and special tactile feel. A specific type of paper was selected for each individual image to match the properties of the respective motif to the best possible image effect in terms of colour reproduction, contrast and surface texture.
Image size
The image is available in three sizes (the size information always corresponds to the width x height of the image in millimeters, see tab "Image and frame size table"). The specified image size refers to the dimensions of the print medium and not the motif (printed area). The motif size differs slightly from the image size, as a white border of around three millimetres is left around the motif.
Frame
To protect the picture from external influences and for optimum presentation, we recommend framing it. In order to meet the highest standards, we use a high-quality frame from HALBE that is custom-made for the picture. The work is protected by a colour-neutral, museum-quality glass that provides UV protection and has an optical interference coating that reduces reflections on the glass surface. When choosing the frame, we pay attention to enhancing the visual impression of the picture and therefore recommend the HALBE Classic magnetic frame made of solid wood (oak) in the colour black (matt). Alternatively, we offer a light-coloured version of this frame in natural oak. If you would like a different material or a different colour for the frame, we can check a corresponding production on request (see below).
Passepartout
In addition, we frame your picture using a customised passe-partout (made of certified museum-quality cardboard from KLUG Conservation), which gives it more space and allows it to unfold its full effect. We match the colour of the passe-partout to the best possible effect of the motif. The passe-partout also prevents the glass from lying directly on the picture.
